A new <strong>400 kV power substation<\/strong> is currently being developed to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply for the upcoming Jewar International Airport and nearby industrial units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the rapid development of infrastructure and industries around the airport, this power project will play a crucial role in maintaining stable and reliable electricity for businesses, data centers, and other large facilities in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New 400 kV Power Substation Near Jewar Airport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To meet the increasing electricity demand in the area, authorities are constructing a <strong>400 kV electricity substation at a cost of around \u20b9220 crore<\/strong>. The project has been under construction for over a year and is expected to become operational soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The substation will provide a reliable power backup system for the airport and ensure uninterrupted power supply for upcoming industries in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power Capacity and Infrastructure Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The upcoming <strong>Jewar Airport Power Substation<\/strong> will have a total capacity of 1000 MVA, supported by two <strong>500 MVA transformers<\/strong> that have already been installed at the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key infrastructure features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two transformers of 500 MVA capacity each<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Total 1000 MVA power transformation capacity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connectivity with major power stations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-voltage infrastructure for industrial use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility will also be linked with the <strong>400 kV substation in Sector 148 and the 765 kV substation in Jahangirpur<\/strong>, strengthening the region\u2019s power transmission network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional 220 kV Substation Also Under Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with the main project, a <strong>220 kV substation is also being built within the same campus<\/strong> to further enhance power distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important details include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Estimated cost: \u20b952 crore<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two transformers of 160 MVA each<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional capacity expansion for the power grid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once completed, the combined capacity of the substations will reach around 1320 MVA, making it a major power hub for the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits for Jewar Airport and Industrial Units<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jewar Airport Power Substation will provide several benefits for the region:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reliable Electricity for Airport Operations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Airports require stable power for terminals, navigation systems, security, and cargo facilities.
