Jewar Airport Security has been significantly strengthened as authorities step up preparations ahead of the much-awaited inauguration of Noida International Airport. Multiple security measures, including temporary checkpoints and increased surveillance, have been implemented to ensure smooth operations during the high-profile event.
5 Temporary Checkpoints Installed for Strict Monitoring
To enhance Jewar Airport Security, officials have set up five temporary checkpoints in and around the airport area.
- Three checkpoints are located inside the airport premises
- Two checkpoints are positioned near the Yamuna Expressway and surrounding routes
These checkpoints will remain active until the inauguration ceremony is completed, ensuring tight monitoring of movement and preventing any security threats.
High Alert Due to VIP Visits
Security has been intensified due to expected visits by top leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is scheduled to review preparations. There is also anticipation of the Prime Minister attending the inauguration event, which has further increased the level of alertness.
Senior police officials have conducted review meetings and issued strict instructions to maintain maximum vigilance across the region.
Advanced Surveillance and PCR Deployment
As part of the upgraded Jewar Airport Security, authorities have deployed seven modern PCR/PRV vehicles equipped with advanced systems.
- One vehicle is patrolling the Yamuna Expressway stretch between Jewar toll and nearby areas
- Other vehicles are monitoring key access routes to the airport
Officials have emphasized zero tolerance for negligence, warning of strict action against any lapse in duty.
Multi-Layer Security Strategy in Place
The security setup includes a multi-layer surveillance system covering:
- Airport premises
- Entry and exit routes
- Nearby highways and connectivity corridors
This approach ensures comprehensive monitoring and quick response capability during the inauguration period.
Jewar Airport Nears Operational Launch
The Noida International Airport project is nearing completion and is expected to become a major aviation hub for Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh.
The airport has already received key security approvals from aviation authorities, bringing it closer to starting flight operations soon.
