Noida International Airport Connectivity: Expressway, Rapid Rail & Pod Taxi Plans
India’s upcoming aviation milestone, the Noida International Airport (also known as Jewar Airport), is not merely a major air travel hub — it’s becoming a cornerstone of next-generation connectivity planning for the National Capital Region (NCR).
As the airport moves closer to completion, authorities are rolling out an integrated transport network designed to ensure swift, smooth, and modern access for passengers and commuters across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and beyond.
🚗 1. Dedicated Expressway Link
To guarantee seamless road access, a 31-kilometre greenfield expressway is under construction to link the airport directly with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Ballabhgarh.
This high-capacity roadway is expected to significantly reduce travel times, improve freight movement, and support Nagpur-Mumbai corridor traffic without forcing commuters to weave through congested city streets.
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has also awarded multiple access road projects around the airport area, including north–east connector roads and emergency/VIP access lanes for swift operations once the airport opens.

Beyond expressways, planners are pushing forward on a rapid rail-cum-metro corridor that would integrate the airport with regional transit networks.
The detailed project report (DPR) for this rail system has already been approved and sent to the government for funding allocation.
Once complete, this rail link will bring commuters from key urban centers in the NCR directly to the airport using a high-speed rapid transit corridor, making public transportation a real alternative to private cars and taxis.
